Toby Palm O.D.
Dr. Toby Palm is a 2002 graduate, with distinction, of Pacific University College of Optometry, in Forest Grove, Oregon. Following graduation Dr. Palm worked at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding rural Native American health clinics. Working alongside ophthalmologists and other optometrists Dr. Palm gained invaluable experience in the detection and treatment of eye diseases, such as diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Dr. Palm worked at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center for four years before opening Palm Family Eyecare in October 2006 in Sutherlin, Oregon.
Dr. Palm is originally from Anaconda, Montana, a small town deep in the Rockies of southwest Montana. Upon graduation from high school Dr. Palm went to the University of Montana and received a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He then went on to attend Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he graduated with honors. He was also president of Beta Kappa Sigma, organized an annual charity golf tournament and went on a missions trip to Costa Rica providing eyecare to those in need.
Dr. Palm and his wife have two children, a son Ely and a daughter Ashley. Dr. Palm is an avid golfer, devoted sports fan and beginning fisherman! He is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club of Sutherlin. Dr. Palm is really looking forward to his future here in Douglas County!
